12 Days of Christmas Day 5

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me ..... 5 golden rings!

Ok, so I don't have a "true love" per say, but I did get myself these 5 midi rings, which Never have off my fingers. There won't be a day over Christmas that these beauties won't be decorating my fingers.

Day 2 of 12 days of Christmas

Day 2 of the count down til Christmas day! My fave piece today is the form of ear candy!

I am in love with these festive earrings! The best thing about them is that they're not novelty either, so I will literally wear them all year long. How beaut are these???

The red jewels at the bottom remind me of bows and the crystals in a circular pattern at the top remind me of reefs! festive fashion! I think I am going to be wearing these a lot over 2014 as well, not just over Christmas.

New Jewellery

One of my friends is off down under and I wanted to get her a little something to say goodbye! A little bird told me that she loves dangly pendant type necklaces so the hunt began. I looked everywhere, but most of the necklaces about are chunky chains and colourful collars. All beautiful, but not what I was after. After visiting every high street store available, I wondered into Forever21 and wish I had gone there first. They're jewellery section looked beautiful. There was a whole wall full od dangly, tassely long pendants. I resisted the urge to walk along stroking each necklace with my fingers.

I ended up buying two really simple, but beautiful pendant chain necklaces. I actually bough three, as I bought myself one too ;)! Couldn't resist!

I bought the crystal pendant for myself. I've wanted a crystal necklace for a while, but I've never found one that I liked enough to spend a lot of money on, as most places charge quite a bit of money for one. This is perfect, It's priced right and looks brilliant. The crystal is clear, so you can literally wear with anything! I can't wait to wear mine! Look out for a blog post soon on how I will wear it.

Outfit Transformers

I am absolutely obsessed with jewellery, I even work for a jewellery brand (Adorning Ava... check it out), so you can imagine my excitement at the moment with all the ornate necklaces, the decorative ear cuffs and the opulent rings. 

Fashion jewellery has never been bigger and this season, it just got even bigger! The high street is adorned with rows of shiny jewels and gems, sparkling away... seducing innocent women, trying to save their pounds and pennies! As you can imagine, pennies is all I have left! So after my hunt through the high street this weekend, I thought I would let you in on my favourite pieces that will literally transform your whole way of styling and dressing!

Ear cuff crazy

Ear cuffs aren't new, but the size and decor has upped it's game. The simple chain cuff has turned into a full dress for your ear!

The style Diaries

Hi little fashionistas, Ok so here's the continuing of my style diaries! I told you I would get cracking with them.... 


Diary Entry 3:

The first evening in Africa, I was absolutely shattered! A 5 hour drive down to London Gatwick, followed by a 10 hour flight and then a 2 hour transfer... well you can imagine how I felt. But did this stop me going out that night in my brand new holiday clothes? Hell NO! I had planned every outfit down to a T and there was no way that one of my dresses was gonna be left out because f a little bit of tiredness. So I drank a large coffee, had a shower, put my face on and I was ready to go...

My Outfit for the night

I bought this elephant jewelled belt in the River Island sale. I'd seen it months ago and thought how well it would work with my maxis to cinch my waist in, plus I loved the elephant buckle. But I never bought it, hoping it would go into sale. My waiting paid off and indeed it did go into the sale at a very nice price of £7. All things good for those who wait my friend!

Bohemian Queen

Hello my little fashionistas, 

I may have given you a little clue that I was heading off to V festival this weekend and wow what a weekend. The weather may have been miserable, but spirits were up, along with the bobbing of arms amongst the crowds of tiaras, flower crowns and feather headresses. And I couldn't not mention that performance by the one and only queen Bee! One word.... star-struck! 

Anyway, after weeks of perfecting the ultimate summery festival look, the rain crushed the dream. Most of the time, I ended up in my pink floral poncho or oversized gray hoodie. However, there were moments where I got to reveal underneath the huge plastic coat.

The long chiffon patterend jacket I wore is actually a maxi dress, but worn open it looks great for a wispy, bohemian feel to any outfit. I plan to wear it a lot this winter with boots. £15 in the Topshop sale... who could resist?

Everyone looked amazing and the vibe was awesome. We spend so much time worrying about the perfect festival outfits, but when the rain kicks in and the musics pumping, all that matters is that you're having fun! And I DEFINITELY DID!

Hidden Gems

Not everyone is a fan of Primark and I have to say, I have my moments where I think WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? But today... well liked is not the word! The new collections for aw13 were in and in abundance. The accessories were by far the best! So what actually was supposed to be a quick trip for welly socks for V fest (stay tuned for that post) ended up being a quite expensive adventure. 

But how could you turn these little gems down????

As you may be aware from previous blogs, I L.O.V.E frilly socks, so you can imagine my excitement when I came across the new pairs in shades of fallen leaves and quirky patterns! I ended up buying 3 frilly fancies, which was a struggle considering originally I had at least 7 pairs in my hands! After some conflicting feelings, I put the other 4 pairs back(reluctantly).

A cheeky bargain I stumbled across while rooting through the sale section! Great Gatsby Eat your heart out!

I could not believe this was only a tenner! This is going to be worn A LOT over the Winter months! They probably won't have these in stock for long, so if you like... better get moving! A definite statement piece!!!

The Style Diaries

Diary entry 1:

 

Hi ladies! OK so here's my first diary entry for my ultimate African/holiday outfits. I thought I'd begin with my travel outfit. I'll give you a tip... I know you just wanna chuck on a pair of sweats and converse, (especially if your flights at a ridiculous time), but the thing is, wear heels! My logic is, if you're wearing a pair of your heels that you will be taking with you... there's more room and weight in your suitcase! The chunkier and heavier, the better! Plus they look good and gets your holiday vibes brewing!

I went for a simple pair of tan cross over wedges from TOPSHOP.I paired it with a skater style fitted dress, covered in a bright floral print. It's actually SS12 collection from Topshop (a Tulissa fav), but I absolutely love it and paired with the right garments, it looked bang on trend. The blazer pulled the whole outfit together.

 

 

EARRINGS: Forever 21 £3.99

 

I kept jewellery to a minimum with a simple pair of oversized studs and a black geometric necklace. A large bag was essential, therefore the tan satchel from ASOS was perfect...you can't go wrong with a classic hanging off your arm. It fits all your iphones, ipads, kindles, lippy and mascara (oh and passport) in and still in keep with your chic look. 

 

 

 

 

 

I kept my makeup and hair quite natural, as there's nothing worse than coming off the plane countless hours later with smudgy panda eyes and kinky hair. My key beauty product was my eyebrow pencil from MAC £18. A strong brow defines your whole face, no matter how little makeup you have on. It keeps your face looking defined and perfected without painting your face.

Robbie vs Olly

I was privileged enough to recently go and see Robbie Williams' gig along with the beautiful Olly Murs as warm up. Being a northerner, I went to see them at the Etihad stadium, which was outside and standing. Thankfully the weather held off and it turned out to be quite hot (especially if you were at the front of the stage bopping in the crowd).  

I literally didn't have long to get ready, as we had to be at the ground for 5pm, but being miss organised, I had already decided that week what I would be wearing. I wanted to have a festival vibe to my whole look without over doing it with head crowns and wellingtons. What do ya think?!?

PEACE Belt in the style of  Moschino

My fav bit about my whole look was my new "peace" belt. I originally wanted the Moschino belt but at £150, I just couldn't bring myself to spend that on such an unsubstantial item. When I saw this little gem in Primark for a mere £2.50, I couldn't resist and I've never had it off since. So if you take one thing from this post, go out and buy a block lettering belt whether it's the cheap version from primark or the expensive designer versions (if you're feelin' flush).... it will carry through into fall/winter!
