A Christmas Weekend in the Country

It's that time of year, when the city gets busy, full of people Christmas shopping, pushing and shoving. As I live pretty much next to the Trafford Centre, It is literally a nightmare. It takes about an hour to get out of the road, especially at weekends. It's wayyyyy too much to handle. So I decided to get away for the weekend to The lake District.... my parents fave get away.

It was bloody freezing, but by god it was beautiful. It always takes my breath away in Winter, as all the mountains are coated in pure white icy snow and it just looks beautiful. I used to dread going up to the country when I was younger, as it usually meant hard, intense, tiring hikes up all the peaks, but now I love going to getaway.

Sooooo, we headed for our usual little town of Keswick and it was literally freeeeeezing cold, but bright sunshine... crisp and lovely. I spent the day pretty much looking around all the old charity shops, the Christmas markets and the sweetie shops, as well as scoffing my face with chips, chocolate, mulled wine and cookies. PERFECT DAY!!!

I also bought an absolute gem from the Oxfam charity shop. The owner gave me a discounted further price (she obviously thought it was a piece of rubbish) but I LOVE it! I cannot wait to wear it over the Christmas period.

New Jewellery

One of my friends is off down under and I wanted to get her a little something to say goodbye! A little bird told me that she loves dangly pendant type necklaces so the hunt began. I looked everywhere, but most of the necklaces about are chunky chains and colourful collars. All beautiful, but not what I was after. After visiting every high street store available, I wondered into Forever21 and wish I had gone there first. They're jewellery section looked beautiful. There was a whole wall full od dangly, tassely long pendants. I resisted the urge to walk along stroking each necklace with my fingers.

I ended up buying two really simple, but beautiful pendant chain necklaces. I actually bough three, as I bought myself one too ;)! Couldn't resist!

I bought the crystal pendant for myself. I've wanted a crystal necklace for a while, but I've never found one that I liked enough to spend a lot of money on, as most places charge quite a bit of money for one. This is perfect, It's priced right and looks brilliant. The crystal is clear, so you can literally wear with anything! I can't wait to wear mine! Look out for a blog post soon on how I will wear it.

Septembers finests!

I thought I would start a new blog post at the beginning of every month, recapping my fav outfits, beauty products and loves from over the previous month.

September's best buys

I've had quite a few cheeky shopping sprees last month... too many to blog about them all. So here's a quick review on my new recruits joining the wardrobe camp this season!

1. Dungarees!

I've wanted a pair of black dunagrees with a tailored fit for a while, so when I saw this sexy number in forever21 for £27, I couldn't resist.

2. Black midi ring!

Another forever21 special, costing £1.65. When I got to the till to buy my dungarees, I couldn't not buy this bargain. It's really cute and quirky and I haven't had it off my finger since.

3. Gray Beanie!

I love the whole urban street look and anyone who is anyone seems to have a beanie this season, so I thought what the heck, go for it. At £3.99 from H&M... happy days. I haven't actually worn it yet, I'm saving it for the weather to get colder.

4. Pointy strappy stilettos!

Black with a gold trim, they are my statement classy shoes that I've worn every time I've gone out partying. They're not exactly the comfiest of heels, but by god, they look so stylish and professional looking. £25.99 from New Look!

5. Bobbi Brown Eye liner

This cost me a whopping £22 for the gel eye liner and £22 for the brush, but it's absolutely worth it. I thought I would try and be sparing with it, but it goes on so easily and really finishes off my look, that I've ended up wearing it practically every day.

6. Kate Moss Rimmel Rouge Lipstick!

It was an impulse last minute buy. I needed a red lippy for a night out, and to be honest I just bought it without even trying it on. It's actually really lovely and stays on all night with just a few touch ups, but nothing major. Best red lippy I've ever had!
